Les has a degree in Biology from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR. Les has been with Farmers Conservation Alliance for 6 years and has been involved in developing and installing 22 fish screening projects in 4 states ranging in size from 0.5 cubic feet per second to 160 cubic feet per second. Les has also been involved in designing and implementing biological testing of the Farmers Screen in conjunction with National Marine Fisheries Service and The United States Geological Survey. Les is currently working to deploy the Farmers Screen technology across the United States and in other countries where efficient and effective fish screening for agricultural and hydroelectric production are needed.
