Anna is a principal and co-founder of Kearns & West. She brings more than 35 years of experience designing, convening, facilitating, and engaging diverse stakeholders in collaborative processes in the fields of energy, water, and natural resources/land management.
Anna has designed and managed a variety of collaborative hydropower processes, including national and regional facilitated dialogues on hydropower licensing and policy, and collaborative siting and licensing processes for hydropower projects as well as wave and tidal projects. Anna also works on transmission line siting and other energy projects. Recent assignments include a Hydropower Regulatory Analysis for the Department of Energy(DOE) in partnership with National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and a project to address improving the efficiency and effectiveness of permitting for marine and hydrokinetic projects for DOE and Sandia National Laboratories.
Anna is certified by the Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution as a senior mediator.
