Profile

Karin Larson has 20 years of experience in energy law, both in government and private practice. She joined the Office of General Counsel at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in 2009, working on a wide range of energy markets matters before joining the Solicitor’s Office representing the Commission before the U.S. Courts of Appeals where she focused on appeals challenging the Commission’s approval of natural gas infrastructure projects. Since 2016 she has served as a managing attorney in the Commission’s Office of General Counsel - Energy Projects where she concentrates on both the Commission’s certificating authorities under the Natural Gas Act and licensing of hydroelectric projects under the Federal Power Act. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and William and Mary School of Law.
