Jamie MacNeil began his career in the Premier's Office in the Province of Nova Scotia. During his first foray into government, Jamie provided support and advice to the Premier and learned the benefits of relationship building and working toward consensus. Jamie went on to Ottawa to work on Parliament Hill, during which time he worked in the Canadian Senate on national policy issues including national security, immigration as well as health care.
After a number of years in Ottawa, Jamie returned to Nova Scotia where he worked as a strategic advisor to the Premier as well as Executive Council. In 2011, Jamie went to work as a senior government relations advisor for Nova Scotia Power, the subsidiary of Emera an international energy company.
Jamie ran his own management consulting firm where he provided strategic counsel to public and private companies including corporate communications and investor relations. During this time, Jamie successfully negotiated acquisitions for clients in both the public and private sectors.
Jamie joined m5 Public Affairs as Vice President in 2013 and where he applied his skills and experience in public affairs, government and management consulting with clients from a wide variety of sectors across Canada and the world. Jamie has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary's University and a certificate in Project Management from Saint Mary's University's School of Continuing Education. Competitive by nature, Jamie plays baseball in the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League, the provinces premier competitive baseball league. Jamie is an active member of the community serving on the Board of Governors for Saint Mary's University and Board of Directors for Dartmouth United Soccer Club.
