  • COROFLAKE coatings and linings are available in a variety of designs that can differ in thickness, application methods, base resin and flake filler selection, chemical resistance and physical properties.  COROFLAKE systems are designed to protect steel and concrete substrates in a wide range of industrial corrosion control applications.

    Dependent on chemical resistance and service condition requirements, the following base resin options are available for use in the design of COROFLAKE systems;

    COROFLAKE Lining & Coating System Categories

    • COROFLAKE - Trowel Applied Flake Reinforced Linings    
      Trowel applied, glass flake reinforced COROFLAKE series linings are available in several base resin formulations for the protection of steel substrates in immersion service. These linings exhibit excellent chemical and permeation resistance.  The lining is applied in two coats over primer to achieve a target dry film thickness (DFT) of 80 mils (2.0 mm) with a range of 60-120 mils (1.5-3.0 mm). With various base resin systems available this linings series can be used for protection against most chemical immersion services at temperatures up to 200°F (93°C).

      Spray and roller applied, flake filled COROFLAKE series coatings are available in several base resin formulations for the protection of steel and concrete substrates. Features include excellent chemical resistance, user friendly application and quick return to service. COROFLAKE coatings can be used, depending on resin type, number of coats, service condition and substrate, at up to 160°F (71°C) in immersion service, 220°F (104°C) for splash/spill exposure and 400°F (204°C) in dry service conditions.

    • COROFLAKE MR - Mat Reinforced Linings            
      COROFLAKE MR series lining design incorporates a trowel applied basecoat, one layer of fiberglass mat or synthetic fabric reinforcement, and a flake filled topcoat from the COROFLAKE coatings range. These linings are available in several base resin formulations for the protection of concrete and steel substrates. The lining design combines trowel and roller/spray application to provide an economical alternative to trowel-mat-trowel linings where applicable. The applied lining thickness range is 80-120 mils (2.0-3.0 mm) DFT with a target of 100 mils (2.5 mm).

    Depending on the specific lining design and service conditions, COROFLAKE MR systems can withstand immersion temperatures up to 180°F (82°C) on concrete and up to 150°F (66°C) on steel as well as splash/spill temperatures to 220°F (104°C)

  • Properties

    • Provides excellent impact strength, chemical and abrasion resistance

    • Suitable at temperatures up to 180°F (82°C) in immersion service and 220°F (104°C) for splash/spill conditions.

    • Trowel applied, fabric reinforced linings that consist of a primer coat, one trowel applied basecoat, a reinforcement layer of fiberglass mat or synthetic fabric, and one trowel applied topcoat. The typical applied lining system thickness range is 120-160 mils (3000-4000 microns) DFT.

    • Reinforcement provides structural strength and distributes localized stresses

    • Highly engineered filler options are used to provide specific properties such as chemical inertness, abrasion resistance, and conductivity when needed.  

    • Depending on chemical resistance and service condition requirements, the following base resin options are available for use in TOPLINE Linings.

  • Properties
    • CHEMOLINE rubber sheets are produced via vacuum roller head extrusion into nonporous continuous rolls sized at (44” W X 33’-0” L), in layer thicknesses from 3/32”-1/4” ( 2mm-6mm)
    • CHEMOLINE rubber sheets are available in un-vulcanized, cold -vulcanized (limited) and pre-vulcanized rolls
    • Pre-vulcanized CHEMOLINE rubber sheets are co-extruded with REMA Tip Top’s special CN bonding layer that is uniquely reactive with REMA Tip Top’s cold bonding adhesive systems.
    • Pre-vulcanized CHEMOLINE can be installed on all steel or concrete substrates using a REMA TIP TOP two component bonding systems.
