Eliza King, Director of Customer Care for Memphis Light, Gas and Water, oversees the division’s customer care operation functions. Her areas of responsibilities include Key Accounts Department, Electric, Gas, and Water Meter Shops, Residential Call Center, Business Call Center, Billing Department, Meter Reading, Meter Data Management, Customer Service Field Operations and Customer Service Dispatch. Since being hired in 1989, Eliza has served as Supervisor of Cashiering Operations, Supervisor of Customer Accounts & Records and Manager of Customer Metering & Billing Department. Prior to her current position, she was the Project Manager of the Smart Meter Project, overseeing the division’s five-year initiative to replace more than one million electric, gas and water meters with advanced telecommunications and metering infrastructure.
Eliza attended the University of Memphis and completed her coursework at LeMoyne Owen College, where she received a degree in Business Administration.
