    Solenoid injection valves are required for all technologies that necessitate extremely reliable control of gases, for both fuel cell drives and industrial gas-operated engines.

    The PFI (Ported Fuel Injection) valve made by HOERBIGER offers a technical solution that stands out because of its short response times and high reliability, even when operated with dry and corrosive gases.

    HOERBIGER PFI valves allow extremely precise control of the gas volume – even at a high gas pressure differential. The valves are installed upstream of the intake valve. Using electronic fuel injection, the gas is injected directly in the intake manifold HOERBIGER PFI valves are suitable both for original equipment gas-operated engines and as replacements of mechanical injection as part of retrofits. In industrial engines for EFC (electronic fuel control) applications, they can be used in addition to the mechanical injection system.

    With a wide variety of standardized engine control and monitoring functions at its disposal, the DriveCOM system monitors all critical engine parameters.

    The electronic DriveCOM modules allow custom combinations. The modular system takes both the OEM requirements and the end customers’ requests for maximum compatibility with existing applications into account. The open software architecture of the DriveCOM system allows customers to use their own control applications.

    When it comes to the development of digital annunciators and safety shutdown systems, Altronic is one of the global trendsetters: the first systems were patented as early as 1977. The portfolio of premium digital instrumentation has been continually expanded ever since. It currently includes digital single- and multi-point temperature measuring instruments, scanners, pyrometers, pressure measuring instruments, pressure monitoring systems, tachometers, overspeed protection instruments, and operating time indicators.

    The latest generation of digital annunciators includes the configurable DE-3000 safety shutdown and control system. It was developed based on state-of-the-art microcontrollers and surface-mount PCB assembly technology for compressors and other rotating equipment.

    The DE-3000 system is fully scaleable and incorporates an intelligent add-on circuit board system. Even in its base configuration, the DE-3000 features a number of digital and analog outputs, as well as 30 inputs that can be individually configured for use with switch contacts, thermocouples or analog transducers. Based on ion sense measurement, a technology patented by HOERBIGER used to balance cylinders and improve combustion characteristics, we offer innovative systems for balancing of the cylinders and continuous monitoring.

    One example is the HyperBalance III system. By measuring the cylinder pressure and detecting the ionic current in real time, it acquires combustion development data in each cylinder. In the event of misfires, the HyperBalance III system can trigger automatic alarms and shutdowns, contributing considerably to the protection of the machine and the entire plant.
