Profile

As senior director of government relations for the National Grocers Association, Molly Pfaffenroth advocates for the independent grocery industry on federal nutrition policy including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program (GusNIP), Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), and Healthy Food Financing Initiative (HFFI). In this role, Pfaffenroth works closely with Congress, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Previously, Molly worked in government relations for the National Association for Biomedical Research and the International Dairy Foods Association, and she served in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Office of Communications. Molly holds a master’s degree in media and public affairs from The George Washington University and an undergraduate degree in animal science from Cornell University.
