The RP Group employs over 200 people at two production sites in Germany as well as at further sales locations in Germany and abroad. About half of its production is exported.

It is the nationwide leading company regarding the use of emergency and safety luminaires with innovative LED technology. Since more than three decades, the development and manufacturing of emergency lighting systems and power supply systems is carried out by RP-Technik GmbH; general LED lighting is made by ROPAG GmbH. Batteries produced according to own specifications complete the comprehensive product range. By means of a global sales network, the RP Group provides its lighting solutions to partner companies, OEMs and electrical wholesalers. RP-Technik GmbH is ISO 9001, ISO 1400, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 50001 certified. Numerous products are “Type Approved” by TÜV Rheinland or ENEC 24 certified.

  • The unique Wireless Professional system from RP-Technik provides control and monitoring of single-battery luminaires in an emergency lighting system.

    The Wireless Professional system operates on the European approved frequency of 868 MHz. As a short-range device, it can be used in sensitive areas such as hospitals and care homes. The wireless range within buildings from one luminaire to the next is always at least 30 metres. Each luminaire also works in repeater mode, forwarding signals from other luminaires registered in the system.

    The control software is available in multiple languages and allows you to store building plans on the compact central computer. The Wireless Professional luminaires registered in the system – over
    1,000 per central control unit – can be identified by location on the plan and displayed along with their current status. As additional plus the actual state of a central battery system of the multiControl
    plus series can be displayed in the Wireless Professional software.

  • The new WPS 2.1 is a unique wireless solution for emergency lighting with self-contained luminaires. By means of the optimized WPS software and depending on the network environment, usage and the query interval, up to 50 Wireless Professional centres can be monitored and operated from one central computer via Ethernet. In this way, with one system the present limit of 1,000 monitored luminaires can be exceeded. Now it is also possible to monitor connected LPS and CPS with one single web-based visualization surface.

     

    WPS 2.1 can be used anywhere and is perfectly suited for the retrofitting and upgrading of buildings of any size. The luminaires communicate with each other via integrated wireless modules. Each module is at the same time transmitter and receiver and forms its own mesh network, which is monitored and controlled by radio via a stable 868 MHz network. The WPS is characterized by low installation and operational costs, reduced cabling (no BUS required) and a minimized energy consumption due to timer control.
