Pre-Conference Workshop Curriculum Overall Objective

POWER-GEN International 2018 will again be offering a Pre-Conference Workshop Curriculum of courses encompassing technical and non-technical issues. These courses are aimed at power professionals, from project engineers to chief technology officers, and are designed to further educate them on specific issues/technologies and practical skills to thrive in the competitive marketplace.

Course Format & Details

Format:                    4-hour, Half-Day courses;
                                
8-hour, 1-Day courses;
                              
16-hour, 2-Day courses.

Registration Fee:     $425 – Half-Day courses;
$525 – 1-Day courses;
$925 – 2-Day courses.
Expect a Utility Attendee (Power Generators Discount Program) Discount (50%) to drive attendance.

Includes:                  Course Materials (Provided by Instructor), Lunch for 8-hour and 16-hour courses only, 1 or 2 coffee breaks depending on length of course and Certificate of Completion.

Location:                   Orange County Convention Center - West Halls, Orlando, Florida

Responsibilities and Financial Arrangements
Your organization agrees to provide both an oral and written presentation.  Along with the presentation, your organization will provide detailed workbook and handout materials for the delegates attending your course at POWER-GEN International 2018.  *Final workbook and handout material must be submitted by November 5, 2018.                             

As a part of the agreement between POWER-GEN International conference management and Pre-Conference Workshop instructors, PennWell agrees to provide marketing and logistical support, registration services, promotional mailings, general correspondence, money collection and financial reporting.  POWER-GEN International will also provide onsite management, including catering and audiovisual services.                  

The reasonable expenses for these services will be deducted from the gross revenue of the seminars, then the profit will be split 50/50 with the instructors.

Submitting a Course Proposal

Submit your proposal for a Pre-Conference Workshop (PCW) by the deadline, March 9, 2018. Click here to submit your Pre-Conference Workshop proposal.  The names and full contact information for all workshop instructors, including a biography, must be submitted by the deadline, March 9, 2018. 

Course proposals must show how the presentations(s) will provide value to the audience and directly affect or aid the power industry professionals attending the POWER-GEN International 2018Conference. SALES PITCHES ARE NOT ALLOWED OR PERMITTED.
