Basler Electric is pleased to announce a new BE1-87B retrofit and a BE1-50/51B retrofit to its line of protective relays.
The new BE1-87B High Impedance Bus Differential Relay, part number 9282300111, functions as a retrofit for GEPVD21B or PVD21D differential voltage relays. The new BE1-87B model comes in a drawout cradle assembly that installs, without modification, in an existing M1 GE PVD case. Minor wiring changes are required to provide station battery connection to provide relay operating power.
The new BE1-50/51B Overcurrent Relay, part number 9252000258, functions as a retrofit for ABB (Westinghouse) CO relays. It has a selectable 0.0 or 0.05 second, fixed, instantaneous delay. The new BE1-50/51B model is provided in a basic FT-11 assembly that installs, without modification, in an existing FT-11 case. No wiring changes are required.

The START/STOP command and Spanish language setting are standard on every IDP-801 at no additional charge. To upgrade an IDP-801 that's already in service, contact Basler Electric’s Technical Sales Support team to obtain an updated configuration file.
- The IDP-801 provides a START/STOP command to the excitation control system to start or stop excitation, thus eliminating the need to connect to the controller via a computer to initiate a start or a stop command to the excitation system.
- The IDP-801 has an available Spanish language setting. This flexible user interface is as simple as pressing a button to change the language from English to Spanish.
When the IDP-801’s new START/STOP command is selected, the user’s backup procedures coordinate the process with other system control aspects. The START/STOP command feature is also available in Basler’s IDP-1201 and IDP-1500.
