Thursday, March 02, 2017: 11:45 AM - 12:15 PM
In 2016, Oracle Corporation, a distinguished corporate sustainability leader, made the strategic decision to modernize its outdoor lighting, including multiple five story parking structures, at its 160-acre global headquarters in northern California. Bundling energy-efficient LEDs with intelligent networked lighting controls, the company received the expected immediate results of lower operating costs and energy savings, but in addition, the deployment realized other benefits. The intelligent lighting system is now Oracle’s smart IoT network that not only provides triple bottom line benefits important to the company, but also a path for implementing future advanced applications, such as additional operational, employee and environmental benefits. The presentation will review the blue print of the plan, examine the expected and unexpected benefits of Oracle’s sustainable lighting strategy from actual before/after data, and how changing the lighting infrastructure expanded to more robust integrated management of multiple building systems.
